Visiting Bristol and the Area

Heading to the Beach

Silica, or as the locals call it, the carrot, is a 30-metre high spire that is lit up at night and is a piece of public artwork that doubles as a bus stop.
Getting to Glastonbury from Bristol
Bristol is the closest airport to Glastonbury so, if you’ve flown into Bristol airport on the way to the festival, take the A38 south through the scenic Mendip Hills, it’s under an hour away and you can stop off in Cheddar to visit the gorge and maybe stock up on the local cheese.
