Renting a Car at London Hammersmith

Local Car and Van Hire in London Hammersmith

The west London district of Hammersmith is a vibrant and interesting area, with plenty to see and do. If you are hiring a car, it's likely that you are planning on heading further out of London and, with its proximity to the Great South West Road, Hammersmith gives easy access to the M3 and M4 opening up the South and South West of England.

With a hire car you can easily get to Surrey and the North and South Downs, all areas of outstanding natural beauty and great for walking trips.

If you are staying closer to town you'll find historic houses and country parks, such as Fulham Palace, Chiswick House and Gardens, and Gunnersbury Park within a short drive, perfect for a day trip. Just across the river, in Barnes, is the WWT London Wetland Centre, a great place for bird and wildlife spotting in the city, while a little further away is the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, worth a visit at any time of the year.

South West London is particularly well-served for green space, with the spectacular Richmond Park and historic Bushy Park where you can visit Hampton Court Palace. The opulent interiors and beautiful gardens of this former home of Henry VIII really have to be seen.

Other great districts to explore in your hire car include Richmond, with its riverside bars and restaurants, Twickenham and Kingston, while the lively areas of Clapham, Putney and Battersea are also within easy reach.

The Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch is conveniently located close to the Hammersmith London Underground, along King Street (the A315). This leads into Chiswick High Road, which connects with the M4, so it is easy to get out of the city.

Cheap Car Hire in Hammersmith

The cost of car hire varies a lot depending on the size of car and how long you rent it for. An easy way to reduce the cost of your car hire is to make sure that you return it at the same time of day that you picked it up. This will stop the charges rolling forward to an additional day, as a rental day is 24 hours. So, for example, if you picked up your car hire at 11am on day 1, you need to return it before 11am on the last day of rental as, after 11am it will count as an additional day.

An even easier way to save money on your car hire is to pre-pay online. You can save up to 10% just by doing this and, as you can still cancel free of charge up to 3 days before your pick up day, there is nothing to lose.

Hammersmith Van Hire

Small and medium vans are ideal for driving around London, and are just the thing if you want to pick up a bulky purchase or some DIY equipment.

If you're moving house, you'll probably need a large or XL van, something like a Luton van with a tail lift. If you want to save money, think about doing a one-way rental, especially if you are moving quite far. Rather than have to return the van to the branch where you picked it up, you can drop it to an Enterprise branch near your destination.

A Wide Range of Vehicles to Hire

While small cars and vans are among the most competitive vehicles to hire in the range and are well suited to navigating London roads, there are also people carriers and SUVs available – great for those looking for extra passenger capacity or a more robust vehicle to tackle the surrounding countryside.

Whatever size car or van you need, Enterprise has the vehicle to suit your needs.
