The essential items you will need to bring to an Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch when hiring a vehicle are:

  • a valid drivers licence
  • valid ID
  • a credit or debit card.

You will also need to prove you are over 25 years of age, and there may be additional documentation required for international drivers.

We accept all major debit cards except for Maestro, Electron, Solo and pre-paid cards. To hire our 4x4s and premium vehicles, we require a credit card. All cards MUST have the main driver's name on it.

Our prices may vary because car hire prices are based on various factors such as, vehicle size, seasonality, length of rental, vehicle make, availability and location. Customers are advised to start the booking process to determine the exact price.

You can modify or cancel your reservation via our website or mobile app. If you prepaid your booking and you cancel 3 days or more before your specified pick up time you will receive a full refund of the total amount. To extend your car rental, you can click “Call to Extend Your Rental” in our mobile app. You can also call your rental branch or 0800 800 227 to extend your reservation.

Taunton has no shortage of shops to explore including the many independent retailers on historic Bath Place, where you can also sit in a cafe and watch the world go by.

 

Things to do near Taunton

While you're in the area, you may want to visit the races at Taunton Racecourse or watch a bit of cricket at The Cooper Associates County Ground. 

For gardening enthusiasts there's the Taunton annual flower show at Vivary Park as well as Hestercombe and its 50 acres of historic gardens, perfect for families with theatre and musical events going on throughout the summer. 

Walks near Taunton

You can blow away the cobwebs with a walk in the Quantocks or the Blackdown hills, both designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just a short drive away. 

There are plenty of lovely villages along the route where you can stop for tea, including Nether Stowey, once home to the poet Coleridge.

Antiques near Taunton

If you fancy going further afield, Honiton in Devon is just a 30-minute-drive away and a mecca for antique lovers, with high-end shops and quirky emporiums lining the main street.
